Uptown packs three completely different remodeling jobs into a couple of square miles. There are the high-rise condominiums along and around Post Oak Boulevard, the dense townhome blocks behind them, and the established single-family streets of Tanglewood and Briargrove. Each one has its own constraints, and pricing any of them like an ordinary suburban remodel is how a job goes wrong.
