Most flooring complaints are subfloor complaints. Tile cracks along a joint because the slab moved, planks click underfoot because the floor was never leveled, and a beautiful wood floor telegraphs every dip in the room below it. Houston's clay soil and the slab movement that comes with it make preparation more important here than in most of the country — so we grind, patch and level before anything is laid.

We remove old flooring, deal with what is underneath, and install tile, luxury vinyl plank, laminate or hardwood through single rooms or whole houses. That includes the parts people forget to price: hauling away the old material, undercutting door casings, transitions between rooms, new baseboards or shoe molding, and resetting toilets and appliances.

Measure and quote

Old flooring comes up and goes away, furniture gets moved, and the slab or subfloor gets cleaned back to something we can work on.

Prep and leveling
Grinding, patching and leveling compound as needed. This is the step that decides whether the floor is still tight in five years.

Install and trim
Layout planned so the cuts land in the right places, then installation, transitions and trim, with the room cleaned and put back.
