Walk-In Bathtub Installation in Houston, TX

Walk-in tubs and easier-entry showers, installed by a remodeling crew that puts the bathroom back properly afterward.

A walk-in tub replaces a standard bathtub with one you step into through a sealed door instead of climbing over a 15-inch wall. For an older homeowner, or anyone with limited mobility, it is often the single change that lets them keep using their own bathroom — and stay in their own house.

The installation itself is the easy part; the part that goes wrong is everything around it. The old tub has to come out without wrecking the tile, the new unit has to sit level and drain correctly, the door seal has to be dead flat, and the wall, floor and trim have to be put back so the room does not look repaired. We do all of that as one job, because we are a remodeling crew rather than a tub-only installer.

What the job includes

  • Removal and disposal of the existing tub or shower unit
  • Walk-in tub installation, leveled and sealed to the surround
  • Tub-to-shower conversions and low-threshold, easier-entry designs
  • Blocking behind the wall for grab bars, installed before tile goes on
  • Surround tile, wall repair, flooring and trim put back properly
  • Slip-resistant flooring and improved bathroom lighting

Step by step

Our Walk-In Tub Process

No surprises, and nothing that matters left until it is too late to change.
  1. 01

    Measure and advise

We measure the alcove and talk honestly about whether a walk-in tub, a low-threshold shower or a curbless entry is the better answer for how you actually use the room.

  2. 02

    Plan the access

Getting the old tub out and the new unit in without damaging the doorway, the floor or the surrounding tile takes planning on a small bathroom.

  3. 03

    Install and seal

The unit is set level, connected, sealed and tested. Grab-bar blocking goes in while the wall is open, whether or not you want the bars today.

  4. 04

    Rebuild the surround

Tile, wall finish, flooring and trim, so the room reads as a finished bathroom rather than a bathroom with a medical device in it.

Why it matters

Why homeowners choose us for walk-in tubs

  • Aging in place

Staying in a familiar home is worth a great deal. A safe bathroom is usually the first thing that has to change to make it possible.

  • Do the blocking now

Adding solid backing behind the tile for future grab bars costs almost nothing while the wall is open, and a fortune afterward.

  • Finished like a remodel

We put the whole bathroom back — tile, paint and trim — instead of leaving a raw edge where the old tub used to be.

Walk-In Bathtub Replacement in your part of town

Accessibility work matters most in the older, established parts of the metro where people have lived in the same house for decades: Meyerland, Sharpstown and Braeburn near our base, plus Pasadena, Deer Park and Baytown. If you are arranging this for a parent from out of state, we are happy to walk the room on a video call and quote from there.
